1: Choosing A Suitable Surface To Install Your Surface Or Wall Mounted Dolce Gusto Pod Holder

As mentioned in the “Stylish Dolce Gusto Pod Holder - Simple Storage That Works” article there are  many potential surfaces to install your pod holder.  Walls, ends of cupboards, inside of cupboards, they are all possible candidates.  One question to ask yourself is, do I want to see the holder or do I want it hidden from sight?  If like me you like to display the pods then a wall or cupboard end is perfectly suitable as long as the surface is smooth and not heavily textured.  Some tiles surface are quite rough and therefore not suitable for installation.  If you are planning on placing your holder on the inside of a cupboard it’s still worth considering the surface roughness however cabinet surfaces tend to be fairly smooth and perfectly suitable for installation.

Choose the correct installation height. Your wall mounted Dolce Gusto pod holder is filled from the top and when in use the pods are also taken out form the top, so make sure that the pod holder is installed at a height that all users can reach.

Another consideration that sometimes gets overlooked is movement of people or doors in the kitchen.  For example placing a wall mounted Dolce Gusto pod holder near a door way that get lots of traffic though could be a bad idea as the holder may get knocked.  Or installing on the inside surface of a cupboard door may be fine when the door is open but you need to be mindful of shelves and items within the cupboard as the door is closed.  These are just a couple of examples but it’s worth considering such things when choosing your installation surface.

2: How To Clean And Prepare The Surface Prior To Installation

The wall mounted Dolce Gusto pod holder has pre-installed double sided foam tapes on the rear surface, these are used to hold the pod holder on the selected installation surface.  In order for these tapes to adhere effectively the installation surface must be completely free of dust, dirt, grease etc and hence must be cleaned and dried thoroughly before installation.  To clean the installation surface we recommend cleaning with a mild dishwashing liquid/ water mix or other such cleaner, followed by a reasonable period to allow the surface to dry completely.

3: Placing Your Wall Mounted Dolce Gusto Pod Holder On To The Surface

Remove the backing from the self adhesive strips and position the wall mounted Dolce Gusto pod holder on the surface/wall ensuring that it is level and positioned correctly.  Once in place press down firmly along the lengths of the adhesive strips to ensure good adhesion.  Please note that due to the self adhesive mounting method this product can only be installed once so it is essential to make sure the holder is in the correct place.

4: Removing The Protective Film From The Front Surface Of The Wall Mounted Dolce Gusto Pod Holder

Our wall mounted Dolce Gusto pod holder are shipped with a protective film on the front surface.  Once you have installed your pod holder gently remove this film by lifting it at one corner and then pulling the film away across the face of the pod holder.  Do not pull the film away perpendicular to the wall as this may pull the newly installed holder away from the wall.

5: Installing The Identifier Clips And Pods

Remove the protective films from both sides of the identifier pod clips to give a transparent clip. Slot the identifier pod clips into slots at the bottom of the holder.  To install the identifier pod itself, locate the top edge of the identifier pod in the clip and rotate the pod down until the round feature on the bottom of the pod locates into the hole on the holder.

6: Filling Your Wall Mounted Dolce Gusto Pod Holder With Your Favourite Blends Of Coffee

Now comes the fun part!  Filling your wall mounted Dolce Gusto pod holder could not be easier. Simply fill the holder from the top and slide the pod to the down towards the bottom of the column near the identifier pod, then repeat this process until the column is completely full.  Removing the pods for use is exactly the same process in reverse, starting at the top.  And that’s it you're all done, now the tricky part is to decide which blend to drink!

Your wall mounted Dolce Gusto pod holder should not require any maintenance other than the very occasional clean.  To do this remove all the pods and identifier clips.  Wipe clean with a lint free damp cloth using a mild dishwashing liquid/water mix (do not use chemical cleaning products).  Use the same method to clean the individual clips.  Replace all clips and pods.
