Nespresso Vertuo Pod Holder - Simple, Stylish Wall Storage

Lets face it, no matter how big your kitchen we could all do with more storage space, and being an owner of what now is that essential coffee maker with the many boxes of pods that comes with it isn’t helping to make your side or cupboards any tidier, so where can one find a simple stylish Nespresso Vertuo Pod Holder that doesn’t take up any drawer, cupboard or worktop space?

The best place to store Nespresso Vertuo pods without using any drawer, cupboard or worktop space is in an area of the kitchen that never gets used at all.  These areas include surfaces such as walls, the side of a cupboard, the underside of a cupboard etc, in fact there is so much wasted space in a kitchen that never gets used for storage at all.  With a surface mounted self adhesive Nespresso Vertuo Pod Holder from Expression Products all of those unusable surfaces suddenly have the potential to store your pods.

Pod Holders That Use Up Worktop Space or Cupboards Full Of Pod Boxes, it’s not much of a choice…

There are many different types of Nespresso Vertuo Pod Holder on the market most of which are either the bent wire design that sit on your worktop surface next to your coffee maker, or the drawer design that sit under the coffee maker.  These two solutions have a common problem (and its partly to do with the fact that Nespresso Vertuo pods are reasonably large) and that it is they use up valuable worktop space and don’t hold many pods, so you still end up with half a box of pods in the cupboard.  Alternatively, ditch the holders altogether and store the Nespresso Vertuo pod boxes in the cupboard, this option really does zap the most cupboard space and is not really an option that fits in a kitchen where cupboard storage is in short supply.

Areas Of A Kitchen That Are Wasted Storage Opportunities

If you take a look around your kitchen, open the drawers and cupboards, you will find that there is a considerable amount of storage space or surface that does not get used.  Maybe it’s a cupboard with a stack of plates on the lower shelf followed by a 6 inch void until the next shelf.  Or perhaps its the walled surface that runs around the entire kitchen with no purpose when it comes to storage.  These are just two quick examples but I’m sure there are plenty more, surely these areas can be put to better use?  This is where a wall or surface mounted Nespresso Vertuo Pod Holder can take advantage, and put these dead areas to use creating a stylish display of all your favourite coffee blends along the way.

DIY Nespresso Vertuo Pod Holders, are they really worth the effort?

Workshop tools ready to make a diy nespresso vertuo pod holder

I know there are lots of articles showing people with a DIY flair how to build their own Nespresso Vertuo Pod Holder from scratch with various items from the local DIY store, but is it worth the time, money and effort?  After investigating a couple I found one that used strips of PVC trim plastic which were then held in place using double sided tape to the underside of a kitchen cabinet.  A quick search for the PVC strip gave a unit cost of £2.99 for 2.5 metre length.  OK, well that’s a good start in terms of cost, but then there is the double sided tape to hold it in place and you know your not going to be buying just the 2.5 metres you need.  The smallest amount of suitable double sided that I could find was a 5 metre roll and came in at £4.99.  Then there’s the cost of fuel to get to and from the local DIY store, this for me is a 12 mile round trip, so there goes another £1.85 on fuel.  When you take into account these three costs the total comes in at £9.83. Remember at this point all you have is a strip of PVC and a roll of tape.  Now it’s going to need the tool kit and a couple of hours of your Sunday afternoon and there you have it your very own creation.

Completing a DIY project is very rewarding however with so many Nespresso Vertuo Pod Holders on the market and a £9.83 starting budget there is going to be a holder that you can buy straight off the shelf. So to answer the question of “Nespresso Vertuo Pod Holder, are they really worth the effort” from a  financial saving point of view the answer would probably be no, however if you fancy the challenge there are ways of creating your own.

Mounting The Expression Products Nespresso Vertuo Pod Holder

The Nespresso Vertuo Pod Holder can really be mounted to any smooth surface that could be on a wall, inside a cupboard, on the underside of a cupboard, on the underside of a cupboard shelf or on the end of a cupboard etc.  As long as the surface is smooth, free of dust, grease and dirt the holder will hold in place.  Please note that due to the self adhesive mounting method this product can only be installed once so it is essential to make sure the holder is level and in the correct place.

Loading & Unloading Your Nespresso Vertuo Pod Holder

Loading and unloading of the pods could not be more simple.  Simply insert the pod into the circular opening at the end of the slot and push the pod along to the bottom of the slot (if the holder is mounted vertical, do not let the the pods drop to the bottom of the holder as this may damage the pod).  Repeat the process until the holder is full.  Unloading the holder is exactly the same process as loading but in the reverse order.  After all that reading I bet you could do with at coffee, enjoy…
